In the past, Kiso has been known to add medicinal herbs from the mountains to the bath. This medicinal bath follows this practice by effectively combining various types of medicinal herbs into the bath water.

- This hot spring has therapeutic effects towards neuralgic pain, back pain, stiff shoulders, rheumatism, poor blood circulation, fatigue recovery, rashes, cracked skin, chapped skin, frostbite, hemorrhoids, skin diseases, joint pain, etc.
- Hot spring quality :
- A “neutral hypotonic and cold mineral spring” containing carbon dioxide, calcium and bicarbonate.
- Contraindication :
- Acute disease, active tuberculosis, malignant tumor, serious cardiac disease, respiratory and renal insufficiency, hemorrhagic disease, serious anemia, pregnancy (particularly early and late-stages)
Day trip guests are also welcome.

Kibio Pass
At an altitude of 1,200 meters, the trailhead of the Fukushima Course A is near the second station of Mount Kisokoma of the Central Alps (Kiso Mountains). Selected as one of the 100 best places to watch sunsets in Shinshu, a hidden gem that was only known by the locals offers scenic views of Mount Ontake and Mount Norikuradake, as well as Mount Hotakatake that can be experienced during sunny days. The stars at night in good weather are beautiful too.

- After arriving at the Kibio Pass, the starry sky tour will be held for about an hour to an hour and a half.
Enjoy gazing at the stars while the tour guide provides details about the starry sky.

- In general, using the road from the Iya intersection is the closest and easiest route to the Komanoyu. However, there have been cases where the navigation system will mistakenly guide the driver to the Harano intersection towards Kiso Koma Kogen, please check the route in advance.

Kiso Fukushima-juku
Fukushima-juku is located in the middle of the Nakasendo route, which was famous around many travelers during the Edo period.
As one of the four major checkpoints of Japan, it was developed in to a large station town. Nowadays, visitors can enjoy strolling this station town that developed along with the bountiful nature of Kiso valley, and its traditional culture.8 minutes by car

Narai-juku
A station town that was referred to as the "1,000 buildings of Narai,” located at the foot of the Torii Pass. The townscape of that particular time period has been preserved as an Important Preservation District for Groups of Traditional Buildings. The townscape is about 1 km long, featuring wide earthen floors and beautifully-even spaced vertical timber bars, lined with not only residences, but soba restaurants, tea houses, liquor stores, souvenir shops, guest houses, etc.

The Horse Town of Kiso
(Kiso: Uma-no-Sato)The “Uma-no-Sato” is a place where visitors can interact with the Kiso horse, which is a natural monument of Nagano prefecture. Many Kiso horses roam freely around this vast area of about 50 hectares. In addition to interacting with the horses, there are horse and horse wagon riding experiences and a soba-making classes at the souvenir and restaurant center. We highly recommend this sightseeing spot as you will surely find a bit of nostalgia while feeling the scenery, atmosphere and culture among the bountiful nature.

The 42nd (starting from Edo) historical stations of Kiso district, Nagano prefecture on the Nakasendo route out of the 69. The townscape has been selected as an Important Preservation District for Groups of Traditional Buildings, and its scenery of numerous inns have been engrained as part of the nature along with the village situated inside the mountains of Kiso Valley. There are many traditional inns and restaurants at this sightseeing spot, offering an experience as if they are going back in time.

Although there are partially accessible sections, there are stairs by the entrance, in the rooms, and inside the public baths.
There is an elevator at the new building for guests who are physically challenged.
We have easily foldable-type beds for guests in wheelchairs to start the day in a more comfortable way.
